To make a W5500 Eagle CAD Library (3) – Device

1. What is Device?

• Device is a library in which a symbol & a package are connected and integrated. When you match the pins which are created in the previous posts, it can be also connected with the PCB file.

2. To create a Device

• Open the W5500 library and click “Device” button. Input ‘W5500’ and save it.

• You can see the device creation screen as below. The left side is about the circuit information. Upper right is about PCB information. At the lower right side, you can connect circuit & PCB

3. To add a symbol

• In order to add a W5500 symbol, click “Add” button at the edit tool and add ‘W5500’.

4. To add a pacakage

• In order to add a W5500 package, click “New” button and add ‘W5500’.

5. To input pin information

• After adding a symbol and a package, you can see as below. Now, we will connect the pins of the symbol & the package. Click “Connect” button.

• You can see a window as below. The left side is about pin formation & the middle is about package pad. If you connect the pin & pad, it will be shown in the right side.

• Choose a pin & a pad and click “Connect” button. The connected pin and pad are displayed in the right side.

• Connect all pins as below.

• Click “Prefix” and input “U”, the identifier of IC’s Ref
