In Freetronics, the AutoHome was introduced.
“Autohome” – a web-based GUI for Arduino-powered Home Automation
The Arduino platform lends itself well to getting into the world of home automation (check our SuperHouse.tv) and many enthusiasts have created their own systems. However one home system by Arduino forum member OhmMega is of interest due to the controls and possibilities.
The web-based GUI project can be found in the the Arduino Forum.
Author of the web-based GUI setup a Mega 2560 with WIZnet W5100 to run a 4 relay board (thermostat for furnace and air conditioner).
The author puts the Arduino Sketch source for this application on the GitHub.
https://github.com/bkaltec/AutoHome/tree/master
The author made a mobile page which can be viewed on a phone or tablet.
But the source code was not posted yet because it is on-going project.
Different from the first prototype in the above, it looks that author made another prototype (Arduino and Arduino Ethernet Shield and Arduino Proto Shield) instead of Mega2560.
If this GUI is released, then it will help many DIY people who are going to make Home Automation with Arduino.
