He made this project that consists of Arduino & Ethernet shield, and PushingBox Cloud services, and is monitoring the home sensor – sump, temperature, humidity and flood.

He started with home monitoring by installing an Ecobee Smart thermostat in his daughter’s home.
But, The Ecobee smart thermostat is discontinued and He want to montor things such as sump level, flood alarm, power loss as well as other items and want the remote notification.
For remote notification, He used with Ethernet Shield, can be alarmed by email and be monitoring thru web site everywhere, everytime.

For making this project, He refered to open communities sites. You can make it like as him by referring an communities sites or the WIZnet Museum.


Compoents

  • Arduino Mega 2560
  • Arduino Ethernet board
  • custom PCBs from OSH Park
  • 4×20 LCD with I2C interface
  • DHT 22 temp and humidity
  • DS3231 RTC
  • HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance
