The system clock of the W7500 is up to 48 MHz. But the writer challenged the overclocking because he did not like the slow system clock.
He set the W7500 PLL register arbitrarily and tried to overclock it.
The waveform below is a waveform that is written and measured in firmware that outputs a 1ms waveform when the system clock is 48MHz.
The waveform below changes the system clock to 60MHz and operates with the above firmware. If you look at the waveform, you can see that the W7500 runs about 20% faster.
However, when overclocking, we found that many errors occurred in downloading firmware using CMSIS DAP, and it can be judged that stability is dropping sharply.
The conclusion is not recommended.
