Application research and development of embedded system in Smart City pipe network monitoring

With the development of science and technology and the rapid development of
Internet of Things, the construction of Smart City has concentrated on a global
scale.As an important part of the infrastructure of Smart City, the urban pipe network
system palys a decisive role in construction of Smart City. The traditional
management model can not meet the demand of Smart City’s development.A new
generation of municipal pipe network will be a system of the Internet of Things and
each pipe network node can realize monitor and remote control of the existing
network data transmission by embedded intelligent terminal.Under the premise of the
construction of the wisdom city, this paper studys and develops the pipe network
monitoring system setting in the pipe network upgrade system of a city corridor.
The system uses the W7500P chip as the core, designs the low -power embedded
system of multi-channel signal acquisition, and develops the system circuit with the
functions of temperature, flow, pressure detection, remote control, data display and
communication interface and the software needed by the system. The intelligent pipe
network monitoring system is divided into three layers:
(1) The detection layer: the detection part contains the measurem ent of flow
detection, pressure detection, temperature detectio n and other basic state data. (2) The
control layer: the embedded module core of the control layer us es the W7500P chip as
a controller, implementation of embedded system access monitoring netw ork and
there is a LCD displaying real-time data in the embedded unit. (3) The network layer:
build monitoring software interface in the VS2013 environment and complete the data
communication with the embedded unit to realize the pipeline data record and query.
The function of the embedded unit in this paper is: different sensor data
acquisition, complete the data storage and analysis in the MCU, establishes TCP
connection with monitoring software and realizes data communication.
The progress of the embedded system uses the latest IOP chip W7500P. The chip
integrates the hardware TCP / IP protocol stack, which provides a stable and secure
hardware environment for the system to realize TCP data transmission and makes the
software development more convenient. System monitoring interface builds on the
VS2013 platform which can realize data collection, historical data query, real -time
curve display to meet the regulatory requirements of the manager for pipe network
conditions.
In this paper, the design of the network monitoring system has completed the
performance simulation test, meanwhile, the system’s software function and hardware
platform conform fully to the needs of the site monitoring system.
